Alamo v Alamo Brits

Hi,
This is probably really obvious but what’s the difference?
I was all set to book with discount Florida car hire after hearing such great reviews but I’ve found Alamo are much cheaper, Alamo brits is over £200 cheaper and Alamo is £140 cheaper for what we want
Thanks

There's no difference really, I would go with whoever is cheaper. Either way you will end up with the same car through alamo.

Just a quick note, Discount Florida Car Hire includes a free sat nav for the length of your hire, Alamo normally charge $15 a day for this so factor this in if you need a sat nav. If you aren't planning on using one then go with the cheapest.

What you see today is only a snapshot. The prices will change a number of times between now and next July. Ensure that all of the companies that you are watching will allow you to amend or cancel any booking free of charge. Two years ago I amended my booking with Alamo Brits 4 times over 6 months.

OP. It’s a dog eat dog World out there. I go with whoever comes up with the best price and has what I need namely 1 driver.
When my Son came with us I was looking for a second driver free so the deals were more limited sadly albeit Brits tended to be the best normally.

Prices for 2021 are all over the place and the early bird catches the worm motto seems to have gone. However my advice is book with whoever offers free amendments and cancellation.

As an aside SixT are now in the Terminal at MCO and do good cars, worth a look.

Spot on Mr Tom. Prices for 2021 are frankly bizarre right now - I just want to rent the car not buy it! The normal pattern of book early to get a good price then modify it down applies but they need to come down a long long way.

Have you looked at booking car hire through virgin holidays? For our dates they are coming out cheaper than alamo direct.

I booked Alamo for next August through Argus. It was £345 for a RAV4 picked up SFO and abandoned at LAS, 12 days later. 2 drivers and free cancellation.

Prices for this type of vehicle during research ranged from £1148 to... £345. I agree that prices are all over the place.

If you find Alamo cheaper elsewhere can you drop me a message with the dates and I'll look in to it. I'm aware July until mid August online prices are a bit crazy but I do have access to some offline prices that avoid the peak season surcharge. I just can't openly advertise the prices on the website unfortunately.

We found the benefits of Alamo Brit’s were what we wanted ie free second driver (never used it as got a big ass car in the end that I wasn’t confident driving lol) we also got a 15% discount .
As it was the first time hiring in the USA we didn’t do skip the line as wanted face to face guidance and it couldn’t of been better. We had a upgrade full suv for only $80 more for 17 nights.
