Gluten free goodies...

Hi- am putting together a hamper of GF goodies for my mum, she prefers savoury stuff but likes the odd sweet treat, any ideas of what i can put in, so far have choc & orange rice cakes, some gf choc biscuit tree shapes, some GF cheesy puff things. Any ideas welcome. X

Home Bargins do gluten free ricesnax ( sure that’s big the name ) in a packet usually beside crisps etc 49p come in salt and vinegar sweet chilli and sour cream and cheese

GF crackers and some chutney so she can have cheese and biccys. Xmas pudding and mince pies. Doritos

Seabrook crisps are tasty and gf but "normal price" ,Nairns oatcakes have GF version,Tesco's gf onion rings are good but I must admit my DH prefers the sweet things ! Asda, Tesco and Morrisons all have a good range of GF goodies but some will not have long enough dates for Xmas Hamper at the moment.

Have a look on gluten free cup of tea website from Becky Excell. She does lists from the supermarket that aren’t labelled gluten free but are. She says something like accidentally gluten free. There is a big selection from loads of shops things that those of us who are coeliac didn’t think we could have anymore.

My son eats GF and I buy him Tesco's GF apple pies - he says they are really tasty. They also do a Victoria Sponge and various chocolate muffins, cookies, shortbread. All in the Free From section.

My MIL is coeliac and I do her a GF hamper every year, I put some pasta, rice, pasta and curry sauces in, along with milk tray chocolates,Nairn crackers, some gf biscuits, gf soups (they are normally about £1.80 a can and I know MIL wouldn’t pay this for soup so it’s a bit of a treat thing!) just a bit of everything really! I also managed to get a GF Xmas pudding in the January sales last year for 50p that I’ve put in her hamper lol 😂 (BB is 2022)

M&s do some nice gluten free items - their xmas pudding is one of the best -not a fan of their xmas cake though

The old el paso GF wraps are really nice

Last year asda had apple mince pies which were really good

morrisons have quite a few more reasonably price freefrom products - their batter mix is a staple our house and is a bargain at just 15p
