Aircraft safety briefing - do you take any notice?

I always watch the safety demonstration and pay attention to our closest emergency exit. On our most recent flight we were sat in the emergency exit row seats and we were flying Norwegian and they did a live demo.

Thought the VA one was a bit strange!

Yup - says it all!

We flew out Friday, and during the briefing a woman at the front got up and stood right in front of the attendant and got something out her hand luggage completely blocking everyone's view.

Dunno how the attendants can stay so calm!

Always watch and I count how many rows to the nearest emergency exit. A tip from a pilot friend. Always makes me feel that little bit safer.

I always pay attention, it would feel wrong not to over such an important thing, even though I've seen it so many times.
It always brings back a memory too, of my first holiday abroad with friends. We were flying to Corfu and as the CC demonstrated the sharp pulling down motion to release the oxygen mask, she was a little enthusiastic and smacked my mate in the side of the head

Always always pay attention! Its rude and disrespectful and downright dangerous not to!
You may think you've heard it all before and could cope in an emergency but is it worth the risk? DH was in the RAF for many years and has done all sorts of emergency drills in more aircraft types than I can remember but he pays complete attention - if it's good enough for him with all his experience it's good enough for me!
