Both DH and I wear 3D glasses over our regular glasses. Make sure you buy prescription sunglasses too, but that is the biggest faff, having to change those for regular glasses for indoor/outdoor use.

When I wore glasses (before lasik) I would wear contact lenses whenever I went to a theme park. I was scared stiff of losing my glasses on anything that was too rough, so would wear daily contacts - then once I'd decided I wouldn't be going on anything too rough for the rest of the day, I'd switch back to my glasses.

Also it will depend on how well your glasses fit you. I've had many many pairs of glasses in my life and some of them were so loose they would start slipping if I just looked down and sweated a bit, whereas others were probably secure enough that I could have worn them on rollercoasters without worrying too much. There are certain things you can fit onto glasses like hooks that go behind your ears to try to secure them a bit better and reduce the chances of them falling off...

I wear glasses and go on all the rides, upside down included.
I use these straps. Comfy and secure and adjustable.

DH and I both wear glasses and wear them on all rides (including upside down ones) without any issues. As long as they fit well they’ll stay on just fine.

She doesn’t even take her glasses off for rollercoasters! I ask her to every time because I am a worrier, she ignores me because she likes to see everything clearly (which is understandable) and so far she has never had them come off.
The only time I have been told to take my glasses of was for the Manta in Sea world.

They didn’t make us take them off when we rode manta! They obviously didn’t care if I lost my glasses or not

My son wears glasses, we got him polarised prescription sunglasses to help with the whole changing his glasses over every time we walked into a shop/restaurant/ride queue.

But he also wears a sports strap to keep them on exactly like the one PPM linked above. They feel very secure. We always take his spare pair in case of any accidents. The straps are on both his normal glasses and his sunglasses.

3D glasses wise, they always fit over the top of his normal glasses. At 12 he is wary of trying contact lenses so for now, it is glasses.
