Whose up for a challenge? Where to eat near MK

Ok guys, so we have a full MK day inc MNSSHP booked for our holiday in October, and as the MK restaurants leave a bit to be desired, we had booked Whispering Canyon for our meal before the party starts.

However of course it’s been announced they are stopping all the fun stuff that makes that place great, and to me without that it’s just ‘ok’ food without atmosphere.

Basically we are looking for a replacement single credit meal in the MK resort area (we have picked our signatures for the holiday so don’t have enough left). The challenge is simply that my other half is Veggie and I’m the complete opposite, very picky lol

Oh and before anyone (quite rightly) suggests the buffets in MK, we already have Crystal Palace brekkie that day so we can get castle photos and Liberty Tree isn’t very veggie friendly lol

Thanks guys!

Have you checked if anything at the Grand Floridian is available that day? I would skip Citrico’s as a vegetarian, but 1900 Park Fare (can you handle eating all your meals with characters?) and Grand Floridian Cafe both have more choice for veggie options. Tip for the cafe option- they are totally happy to adapt the pairings on the menu, so if something is basically veggie but comes with bacon on the side or whatever, you can of course order it without and substitute something else. It was all easy to do on dining credits too, so not to worry.

Grand Florida Cafe and The Wave are what we are thinking right now have a feeling the cafe will win. Thanks!

If you like buffets, Trails End when Chef TJ is on is apparently amazing for veggies as he will make up a special order for you.

Otherwise Wave/GFC would be my choice for single credit as well.

We aren’t especially worried about buffets, I just know when it come to picky eaters they always get suggested lol

Thanks so much for your suggestion though, we ended up going for GFC over Trails End, simply as it’s on the monorail loop and we can quickly pop to Trader Sams at the Poly after for a drink before Not So Scary starts. Obviously you could do that either way, but think we will be on a bit of a time crunch and boat then monorail could just make it that bit harder lol

Cool, I think we are on the 13:15 Virgin flight, I’m afraid we wouldn’t be able to talk to you if we bumped into you though, as your going for 3 weeks, and we’d be far too jealous 😂😂
