I have just booked our 21 day hire at end of August for Baltimore - checked out a few places including DFCH and USrentacar, but went with BA and Avis again, who were slightly cheaper and I get a bunch of Avios.

Class W Ford Edge - initially online was being quoted £810 but was £688 when I booked on the phone, and they linked my booking to Avis preferred.
Giving Avis another chance after my poor experience at MCO last year, and BA were very good at dealing with it - so have stuck with them.

I faced this and ended up with uscarhire.com. Unfortunately virgin and discount florida car hire were more expensive for us.

I was the same missed a good price for 16 nights in August now it's gone up to nearly £800. Booked through net flights for £405 which is slightly less than the original good price I saw through Alamo

Oh no I've just read this and checked alamo and the one I need has gone up by nearly £300!
Do I need to contact Andy direct or can I just book through the discount florida car hire website as they are offering the original price I wanted?
Also is this all the insurance I need the same as it would be with alamo?

Go through the enquiry page on his website, it will send him an email and he will get back to you.
Yes, all reqd. insurances are included.

Sorry to hijack but can anyone who has used Alamo Brits help - I've prepaid everything (inc taxes and extra roadside assistance) and the email confirms that. However when I try to check in on Alamo it says I owe $90 dollars at the counter. When I look that's about the same amount as the tax and the roadside 🤔 any ideas?

That will be payable at the exit barrier. However it should only be the roadside assistance, tax and airport fee on that, nothing else.

I've paid it already though. That's why I'm confused.
