Afraid we weren't fans either. We were with 2 US couples who has completely inappropriate conversations, did a lot of swearing and weren't that nice. Beer great but food a bit so-so. Did like the oompa band though, but not enough to back and whole experience not that cheap

We actually love it there, we go to Munich quite a lot and so thought to try it a few years back and had a great experience. Second time we went in 2013 was equally fun, I am actually still in touch with one of the other guests that was at our table.
I’m hoping it hasn’t gone down hill too much in the last 5 years! We are so looking forward to that one.
