My 2018 60 Day Fastpass experience

Hi all,

I posted this already in response to another thread but I wanted to share my experience from yesterday in the hope that it might help others. It's my second year in a row going with a 60 days window. Last year I had everything done and dusted in 20 mins. This year not so easy.

It was my 60 day window and it was extremely stressful. The App and Website were glitchy and didn't fully start working until 12:30. Up to that point any day that I selected would say that each parks allocation is complete! I nearly had a heart attack! The system settled down after that.

However, My first morning is the 20th of July and we are planning to hit MK. When I hit "Morning" all the rides were coming back at 6pm, 7pm etc... I was thinking what a disaster. Then I tried for HS on the 21st and same thing happening. So I jumped to the last day of our trip and went for MK again and same thing 6pm, 7pm. My heart sank so I bit the bullet and booked a few. Went back to day 1 and then hit 9am instead of "Morning" and everything was available!

Very rushed job then - I went through each day and everything was available for anytime really. Ended up with everything we wanted for the mornings without issues at all. This included SDMT, FOP, TSM, Navi and Slinky. In fact I got FP's for SDMT and FOP on multiple days. Haven't got TSM on multiple days due to the tier systems but the option is there to do it if one should choose.

All in all very successful morning albeit a stressful one.

Thanks for the tips. I had the same problem with ADRs when I used the "breakfast" option rather than the specific time I wanted. So good to know I will have to do the same for FPs.

I feel your stress! I was all set at 10.30 - I was confused as to why my fast pass window was telling me there was an issue I thought maybe it was just because it was too early to book, I did call my travel agent and they told me it was fine. Roll on 12pm and still nothing was working. I phoned Disney and they said there were no tickets for my kids!?! I phoned travel agent and they talked to their Disney agent. Two hours later, having spent that time on and off with the travel agent who were on to Disney, it was fixed. I spent two hours worrying that nothing would be available and my whole planning would be ruined, and - although it took 2 hours to get all the rides at the times I wanted, I got everything I wanted at the right times. So my 2 hours of panic was totally unnecessary! Much relieved and happy me.

I am going to keep checking back for the navi river-pandora glitch though 😬

My experience has been very similar to yours except that I am booking on a rolling 60 days. Seem to be getting what I want in the end but need to book then modify.

Bigbear that is exactly what I did. I had to book and modify, because it wasn't giving me the times back to back otherwise. It is a very slow process selecting everyone, swapping times, blah di blah. But, I did get everything, so happy in the end

This is probably a silly question but I check into Disney on the 23rd July but I've been told I can't book fastpasses untill 24th may . Do you check in on the 19th July and you could make your fastpasses yesterday (20th may ) ? I'm just making sure my fastpass day is Thursday and not Wednesday x

Can I ask how many are in your FP party? There are 11 in our party and I’m thinking we will probably have to split into 3 smaller groups to have any chance of FOP. Thanks for the info tho, our FP window opens in 14 days, eek!
