Trying for More Ears
|
My 6 year old grandson is desparate to ride the "Geti" (Everest) attraction and has measured himself regularly for a couple of years before announcing he is now tall enough. No way anyone can keep him off it now.
Bit scarey for Parents but how often do you here of incidents? Part of growing up and Parents having to let go... |

This is the USA we are talking about. If there was any risk that a persons build was a risk by being too slim there is no way they would be allowed to ride. To date I have never seen such a restriction.

I was always really slim (until having the children lol) and I used to worry on the bigger rides but it’s absolutely fine, they wouldn’t let people on if they thought there was a risk. My middle DD went on the rocking roller coaster when she was just on the height limit and could barely see over the restraint but she loved it and was absolutely fine (I’ll be honest I didn’t go on with her, o sent her with her dad as I felt she was to small 😂

OMG I can so relate to this! I sit next to my son age 8 when he first started doing coasters and i rode next to him holding on to his leg like i could hold him in if anything were to fail... obviously i know that wouldnt work but its definitely a fear of mine.
I let them get in first and do their seats/restraints then mine. Im dreading this year as we go back to Busch and Seaworld and he wants to do them all and he wasnt quite tall enough the first year, this is our 3rd trip and he is now 10 and as tall as me! In other news, where can i get Xanax in the states easily?! |

Last June my 7 yr old Granddaughter wanted to ride everything..I had kittens though when she was desperate to fly on the world's tallest skycoaster at Old Town...she did it with her Dad and absolutely loved it.I screamed more than she did.

I am the opposite - I really encourage my kids to go on the rides - I have an 8 year old who is tall enough to go on everything and I will be encouraging her to do so.
I don’t want them regretting not going on the best and biggest rides... |

My husband practically makes our 8 year old son ride everything he is tall enough to ride at least once. I think it's a bit harsh and often argue it with him but he feels our son should ride them all once. After that if he doesn't like the ride he won't push him to go back on again but it feels a little cruel as my youngest is a bit of a wimp (I too can relate). Our daughter is the opposite and will ride rides I wouldn't even go near myself!
