Child Hit and Killed By Disney Bus.
A 10-year-old boy has been hit and killed by a Walt Disney World bus near Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. Troopers said the boy was riding a bicycle with an 11-year-old friend near Fort Wilderness Trail and Big Pine Trail, when the bus hit him around 1:45 p.m. Thursday. Officials said the boy died at the scene. Reedy Creek Fire and Rescue said it was on the scene investigating an accident. Troopers said they are conducting a traffic homicide investigation. Disney issued the following statement Thursday afternoon: "We wish to extend our deepest sympathy to the boy’s family over their loss. We are currently providing the necessary resources to help the family with their situation. The driver and witnesses are waiting to be interviewed.
