Hollywood Themed Meet and Greet Coming to the Studios!

If you are like me, you would have been gutted when Playhouse Disney characters replaced the fab 5 at the Hollywood and Vine restaurant at Hollywood Studios. The fab five were always dressed to impress and turned up for dinner in their best Hollywood outfits.
I thought some of the charm of Hollywood Studios (then the Disney-MGM Studios) was lost when this happened. But that could be about to change.

Although those darn playhouse Disney characters will still be standing firm at the Hollywood and Vine, a new meet and greet area is on the cards. The meet and greet will be on the grassy area opposite the American Idol Experience, where the Snow White shaped topiary once was. The topiary has already been relocated, so construction will soon follow.

A new backdrop will be built, which is expected to be more than just a flat art backdrop. And, much to my delight, the characters will be attired in classic Hollywood style outfits. With this, and the brand new style of back drop, guests should be able to enjoy some really unique Studios character photo opportunities.

Gorgeous! I hope it's still there when we go in September 2012. Though I hope they don't get rid of Sorceror Mickey at Art of Disney, as he's my favourite meet n greet!
