Aircraft safety briefing - do you take any notice?
I have flown quite a bit over the years and therefore have had to sit through many of these.
I know they are not the most exciting forms of IFE but I do watch them based on the principle that one day they may come in useful and if the CC are taking the time to perform them it's good manners to take notice. But I get the feeling I am the only one and for all of the attention the rest of the passengers are taking the CC could be running up and down the aircraft naked and no-one would notice. Am I the only one who takes any notice? I do know some of them are done via video rather than "live" |

I take notice of them. I feel sorry for cabin crew when people carry on chatting etc

I always always sit up and take notice.
not because I haven't heard it all before - its because it is a serious minute and they crew take it seriously so why shouldn't we. |

I take notice. I have a love/hate relationship with flying - I'm utterly convinced that the flight I'm on will fall out of the sky, but then it's the start of my holiday and there's nothing I can do about it so I try to enjoy it.
I'm usually in tears to start with 🙈

I listen, it is so rude to not take notice.

I do listen but know if anything were to happen I would probably become a crumbling wreck and not remember a word

I always remember not to wear high heels on the day of flying because I don't want to leave them on the plane if we have to use the emergency chutes

I was cabin crew for BA and it used to irritate me when people didn't pay attention or were chatting during the safety briefing.
I know it's boring if you're a regular flier, but listening/watching and knowing what to do could save your life in the event of an emergency |

I watch them because 1. I think it's rude not to, it's really ignoring someone who's talking to you and 2. I'm a bit of a rule follower.
Obviously with the video versions it's less rude but it's one of those things where you think I don't want to be so arrogant that I think I know it all. |
