Did anyone get any closure on this issue of Avis preferred showing more than you paid to BA at time of booking? I was going to check with BA but can't work out which department to ring
My Avis record is showing £300 plus more than what I've paid, certainly don't want to get to garage and find they are trying to get more $$ from me.

Yes I started a new post to ask for help concerning this and got a few replies from members who have used BA/Avis they said not to worry your voucher covers the payment

Here is the thread so you can read the replies

Unless I misunderstand what you're asking, there is no Avis code - this requires booking the car rental through British Airways and, as mentioned earlier in the thread, splitting the rental into multiple periods within your holiday stay (i.e. 14-day stay split into two 7-day car rentals).

Some gotchas with this splitting...

As it is technically two or more rental periods if you want a child car seat then you'll pay the amount twice presumably, Likewise the 19.25 limit on the toll charges will be two lots of this.

Avis seem a bit bad with the tolls in that if you use the sunpass lane only once, they charge you a per day amount for the whole rental duration, even days you don't use tolls. Alamo only charge you this overhead on the days you actually go through a toll booth.

The savings still seem good for this deal, but be aware of things that might erode your savings.

Quick question - do you get a physical card for the BA Exec club? The terms seem to suggest you need to show a card at the Avis office. I joined online but it didn't mention I'd be sent a physical card, just got an email with the membership number.

If you just registered with Avis, they should send you a welcome letter that has the card.

With BA you won't get a card - at least not at Exec Blue level, not sure about higher ones. The BA phone app lets you view your digital membership card, which I'd imagine is sufficient if you need to show it at the Avis desk. More information on the BA App page and the BA Blue Benefits page

The rental voucher shows the additional driver offer but just says it is for BA Exec members. How do you get the free additional driver? How do you show them you're a BA Exec member without a card?
