Dad met Mom at the local dance hall when they were both 13
Had a 6 month ‘glitch’ when they were 15 but married at 20 and have now been married for 51 years

My parents met at Butlins in Skegness. Dad was ‘the entertainment’ and mum was head of the red coats. Neither were from the area, they were from Derby and Birmingham and settled in London. Married for 40 yrs and 4 days (mum then passed away)

My mum was a bartender at the local sports bar where my dad and my grandad (mums dad) played. My dad and grandad got chatting and were quite good friends and then my grandad introduced my dad to mum, the rest is history.

My mum used to put on makeup to go down to the phonebox to talk to my dad haha

My parents met at a charity baseball game (Canadians). My mum was driving some sort of fancy convertible and my dad was smitten. She was 9 years his senior, so my dad was quite the toy boy!

My parents met when dad found my mum trying to get home from a wedding reception a little worse for wear (she was only 17, as was he). He got her safely back to his home, with my grandparents, to sleep it off and made sure she got home the following morning. From there they dated and by the time they were 19, they had moved to England, where my mum’s parents were and married. That’s the one thing I never forgave them for, leaving a beautiful place like Scotland and making me English! 🤣

My dad was working erecting glasshouses in Sussex & my mum and her family had a holiday caravan
On the Church Farm site in Pagham , and they met on the site there .

Then when they got married my mum moved up here to Lincolnshire

I asked my mum yesterday.
My mum and dad first met in Wigan Park (I currently live 2 mins away abc take Tilly there almost everyday) through a mutual friend then got together at pup near the youth club (under 18’s youth club until 9pm then they all used to go to bar that played a juke box but didn’t serve them alcohol)
Was not together long before getting married.
My mum was 17 and was with my dad until his death 2015. There will never be another man for my mum.
