You’ll struggle to get lunch like we get in cafes here at home. There are places that do sandwiches and wraps etc but they’re often on huge big slabs of bread with half a pig in between. As said, Columbia Harbour House does sandwiches. In Universal the new Today Cafe looks like it does sandwiches.
Probably best to have a look at the menus either on here or the Disney website for an idea of what’s on offer.

We enjoyed the different things you could get as a light bite at the quick service places.

Yes burgers and chicken strips with fries are pretty ubiquitous, but you don't have to look too hard for

a Caesar salad , a pizza slice, a salad with pulled pork (HS), a bowl of rice and beans, burrito, chicken salad, chicken skewers with a wrap (AK) - at Disney parks - we shared a lunch item between 2 of us quite often.

a plate of fruit, a wrap with meat and salad, chicken "thumbs" with fries, a bowl of veggies with pitta bread and hummus (followed by a massive pink-icing topped donut to share) at the Simpsons food hall area at Universal.

We often get a potato from just outside Columbia harbour house. They do sweet potatoes as well.

When are you going? You might find you don’t want 3 meals and a snack like you’d have at home. We are satisfied with snacks like fruit, icecream, cold drink and a shared cookie etc...at lunch. Breakfast and an evening meal is enough in the heat for us so don’t be surprised if the last thing you want in the peak heat at lunch time is a baked potato!

Alternatively, if you're like me, you'll put on 4-5 stone.

😱
OP said they are not big eaters though and she also previously asked for help with smaller breakfasts like toast and cereal and mentioned being on a budget/worried the trip may not be worth the money so as light eaters I think it’s possible that the heat kills their appetites during the day and that the food budget won’t beed to be as high as she might be fearing.

We’re not big eaters on holiday and could happily live on a decent breakfast and tea. If we do get hungry at lunch time we’ll share something - it could be a burger/hot dog and fries or a portion of loaded nachos.

I’ve recently started packing something in my bag when we go out for the day on holiday i.e, crisps, biscuits or a cake and that fills a hole. At Disney we usually end up with spare snacks or deserts so they’re perfect.

We don’t eat huge lunches when at work (I often work straight through and hubby has an apple) so don’t see the need to overeat on holiday. Although, I do have a massive Disney snack list for our next trip!
