Off to see the mouse pre trip report
I thought it was about time I got this pre-trip report on the go - the days are rushing by so quickly this year and we're already into double digits! We have been really lucky this year as this will be our second trip to the land of the mouse... And its fast coming on us..
Let me introduce us to you first... Cast DH Jeff happy to keep going back to WDW and the man that earns the dollars so we can keep doing this.. My self Julia planner Disney addict keen dibber and makes sure the holiday gets paid for on time. As I said we were out there for three weeks Christmas and the new year just before we were due to go I had three spells in hospital and only came out four days before we were due to fly to Florida and only just got the docs permission to go. While out there I did not feel that good so in the end we had to cancel a lot of our ADR as I was in no state to eat due to Gallstones. And feeling unwell. Over the years we have made a lot of American friends and our dear friends Laurie and Bart who works and the Disney Uni. They have over the years asked us to come for Christmas and spend Christmas with them... So we had planned to stay with them for the Christmas and new year then go back to the apartment for the other two weeks and see them some days while we were there. This was our 17th trip and also our 25th Wedding anniversary trip. So this trip was not one of our best ones we have had.. So on getting back home I had to go in to hospital again and have my gallbladder removed so we decided to book another trip to go to see the mouse right away... We sat down and worked out when we were both free from work and came up with September we have been before in September and I like it then the children have gone back to school and the weather is still warm but not boiling... We booked to stay this time at the LBV Palace and Spar we have never stayed there before but we looked at it while out there at Christmas and liked the look of it, we mostly stay in the LBV area . So we booked two weeks from the 16th September to the 2nd October we looked around for flights and car hire and virgin came up the best prices. So we paid our deposit and them knew we had to get about saving the money to pay for it.. That's the hard part we don't go to the pub at weekends or smoke so we think why save every penny you earn so a have few nice holidays you then have something to look back on... When I am old and cant get around I would hope I can be sitting there with my memories not my dreams! Our flights are booked with virgin London Gatwick to Orlando departs 1pm arrives Orlando there time 5pm virgin seem to have started to put flights together so we are not on our normal flight which used to leave at 10am. Them we have arranged a hire car to pick up at the airport. The 15 nights at the LBV Palace and spar in a Disney room view. We like to be able to go back to the hotel and sit with a drink on the balcony and think about the day catch up on the laptop with dibbs and emails plus in the mornings sit and have our breakfast and coffee in the sun. So now we are at the stage were the holiday is paid for tickets brought for the parks and car hire paid for.. Taxi booked for the 16th to take us to the airport. And few new clothes brought for us to wear we did not need a lot this time as we hardly used the things we brought for our Christmas trip it was too cold to put T shirts and shorts on we lived in jeans ... ADR booked we like to eat at a few of Disney restaurants each trip some old favorites and some new ones this time to try. And now we are counting down the weeks till we go... As I said at the beginning all the time I have been a dibber I have never written a pre trip report so thought I try this time and also do trip reports. I hope you did not find it too boring and am going to find some photos to add... |
