Just the two of us - New York in the Winter!

So we are heading out to NYC for 3 nts on 13/12, just me and hubby. It's a bit of a 30th birthday present as I turned the big 3.0. on the 1st December. We are leving behind our gorgeous three year old dd, I'm very anxious about this but I am pretty good at forcing myself to do things. It will be good for us to have a few days as a couple and a life and experience without her for a few days. It doesn't mean I won't miss her terribly and I've not told my DH I plan on buying her lots and lots of things

So we fly on Virgin LHR - JFK at 19.25 Friday, returning out of JFK at 6pm Monday night.

We stay at Ace Hotel. Picked quickly but reviews well and seems to be located nicely near Empire State and Grand Central.

We have a few things we want to do:
Carrirage Ride Central Park and watch the ice skating
Christmas Markets - Colombus Circle, Union Sq, Grand Central
HighLine Park
Top of the Rock - tree and observation deck at sunset
Radio City Christmas Spectacular - booked for Sunday night

And a few we will consider:
Empire state building at night time
Circle 42 semi circle cruise at sunset
See new develpment/building at ground zero

Dining/Food:
Lots of starbucks for hubby who is a coffee addict and doesn't like shopping
Heartland Brewery - seen on a Dibb review looks yummy and close to hotel
Dylans Candy Bar - cocktails!
Juniors for cheesecake and dinner
Schnippers - we enjoyed burgers here on our last trip

Sounds like an awesome trip.

During the Winter time Bryant Park also has a whole village set up, worth checking out I think.
