Lounging our way to Canada

Nearly forgot to do a pre-trip but here we go.

Well, we find ourselves in the fortunate position where can indulge our joint passions for travel and long haul flights. Following our recent trip to Las Vegas we’ve fallen in love with the idea of “turning left” and heading for Club World with BA as well as indulging ourselves in the lounges where available.

After Christmas there was a fortuitous BA sale and looking at the “art of the possible” we decided that if we travelled to Canada we could end up with BA Silver status as well as having a nice weekend away. Flying to Honolulu for weekend to get Gold status was on the cards but after some discussion it seemed a bit too extreme.

So, here is the flight plan: -

• London City to Dublin (Thursday evening)
• Dublin to London Heathrow (Friday Morning)
• London Heathrow to Toronto (Friday lunchtime)

And do the same in reverse for the way back, leaving Toronto Monday night.

We’ll be staying in the Westin Harbour Castle, Toronto.

Things to do: -

• St Lawrence Market
• CN Tower Edge Walk and Skypod
• Island Cruise (Groupon)
• Ice Hockey Museum
• Bata Museum
• Casa Loma
• Steam Whistle Brewery
• Niagara Falls

No real fine dining options for us as we are short on time. Although we will have lunch at the top of the CH tower. We are travelling with Hand Luggage only for the first time - which might be a challenge!

I'm looking forward to reading this as I'm currently in the process of planning for our trip to Toronto at the end of May. Not sure when you are going but will you be back and have written your trip report by then? I may find it very useful.

The food options sound good thank you! Can't believe we are off so soon - and for such a short time too!
