Which Flight Time?
I had to start a new thread as the other thread was 50/50 but I don't think I was clear on the poll & I couldn't amend it. I really appreciate all the feedback. Thank you!
We're currently booked on the 3:15pm flight from London to MCO in Premium Economy with our two girls aged 3 & 6. However, the much earlier 9:20am flight has become available on the same day but in Economy. I like the idea of the earlier flight but I don't like the idea of flying Economy as it's an A350 so 3x3x3, plus the earlier flight lands at 2:15pm which means we have to keep the kids going for longer. But, if there are any delays it means we wouldn't be getting there stupidly late at least. The girls could probably just spend the afternoon in the pool as we'll be there so early. If we stick with the later flight it doesn't land until 7:30pm local time which is 12:30am to us, and thats providing there are no delays. However, a late arrival time means we can crash out at the resort straight away without having to try and stay up to a reasonable bed time. It also means that we've paid for a night that we've essentially wasted due to getting there so late on travel day and going straight to bed. Just wondered if people had experience of these times and which you would choose given the choice? We have Global Entry so immigration doesn’t make a difference to us as we’re always through super fast regardless less of how busy it is. I don’t like the idea of flying Economy but the idea of a delay on the later flight worries me (it didn’t leave London until 5:30pm the other day) Thanks!

I’ve voted for the later flight simply because it’s PE and I wouldn’t want to swap to economy in my own circumstances or yours. We’ve done a later flight with Aer Lingus and while it wasn’t ideal we did get to bed later.

As I said on the other thread. ( I think you were clear enough), there is no way I would be changing from premium to economy whatever time the flights was.
I was on this flight a few weeks ago ( time changed after we booked I think and was not looking forward to it). It actually worked out fine. Better nights sleep, No rushing about in the morning and no staying up for hours when you arrive.

In your position I would definitely stick with the later PE flights.

I voted again to stick with the later flight.
I couldn’t spot differences in this post against my recall of your first post Edited at 02:15 AM. |

I didn’t specify cabin class on the poll so thought I would be clearer in case people didn’t read the thread.

I voted again, and stuck with my original answer of change to earlier flight. I have no preference for cabin class - it has no weight in my decision, my preference everytime is always the earlier flight time.
I hate hanging around on travel days, I want to be up and at the airport ready to go. And then I want to be chilled and unwinding at the other end as early as possible.

Voted again and kept same choice being stick with the later flight! As a family of 4 as well (7yr and 2yr old boys) cabin and seat formation is a big thing for us!
We are also on the A350 next year and the reason we aren't going E because of the 3-3-3. Not sure of your plans but personally I would be staying the night before in an airport hotel and have a leisurely / relaxed morning before getting over to the airport!

Voted the later one again due the the fact its Premium and it doesn't really matter what time you go it travel day and it very exciting.
We could all give you a vote but its what you want to do.

Sticking with the later PE option again.
I'd rather go early, but PE would win.
