Transport to Kennedy space center from Universal
We will be there first week in September and are thinking about doing a day trip from Universal to Kennedy space center.
We are staying onsite, no car. I haven't booked Kennedy tickets yet as am still working out how to get there. I think my preference would be to use Uber/Lyft for convenience with it being a long day. Does anyone know a rough cost of that? Not sure if it's feasible. If not any other ideas on best way to get there and back? thanks! |

There are companies that will pick you up and sell you tickets. I don’t know the names but I know that a couple of vloggers (dedicated Uber/Lyft users too) chose this route and they thoroughly enjoyed the day and recommended it for non drivers. All I know is that it’s not such a long day as you might think - it closes way before the theme parks. We drove last year and we still didn’t get to see and do everything.

We went with Grayline last year, picked us up at Icon Park and dropped us there too, can recommend them.
Guide advised a way to tackle the various parts to see everything and it worked. Don't miss the audience with an astronaut in the afternoon, it was great! |

We missed the astronaut - I’m glad to hear it’s worth doing because we’re planning on going back in ‘26.

We got one with very entertaining stories and it was a lovely cool auditorium on a very hot day! We loved it.

We’ve got Ubers to Kennedy several times from Disney, no problem, door to door service. And got them back. We went to see a launch one day which was amazing.

Can also recommend the astronaut talks, where else in the world can you be in the same room as a shuttle commander (our guy was) so interesting could have stayed there hours listening to him!

We booked entrance and transport through Travel Republic. This was booked last December to go this September, it is with Gray Line and these are the pick up details on our tickets:
Pickup Details Hotel: Universal - Pacifica Ballroom at Royal Pacific Time: 7:35 am Instructions: Best collection location for guests staying at on-site Universal Resort Hotels I cannot find the receipt, but my spreadsheet says it cost £192 for two of us - that's the travel and the entry.
