Apart from the link on the opening page (which I can’t get to work) and tenuous Talksport article I can’t find anything about this, not even on the EFL website so it appears the outrage would appear to be confined to a few DIBB members. This forum is the only place I’ve seen it discussed

In the talksport article there’s a vague hint to Carabou Cup and CL fixtures clashing. So is this seeding definitely happening.

If so, as I’ve said before I can’t see how it makes any difference to anyone. The outcome of the competition will be the same.

I can’t really see why they would introduce seedings but equally can’t see a problem with introducing them

Didn't realise that.. although I do feel seedings would lead to top clubs being guaranteed a win

So not only were the 'big' six kept apart but four of them gifted a home draw

it stinks

Football and pretty much every other Professional Sport stinks and the evidence is abundant.
The Quatar World Cup scandal, where Quatar were even allowed to keep the World Cup that they had paid bribes to have awarded to them..
The UEFA Scandal
Referee bribing
Footballers betting on outcomes.
The list is seemingly endless.

Football is now purely about money and the actual matches are simply a means to earn more of it. If it made financial sense, then I have no doubt that the owners would campaign to have all games played behind close doors.

I would be suspicious of any and every action involving seedings and firmly believe that any draw should always have all of the numbered balls in a single sack.

Surely the carabou cup is already seeded in a way, as clubs enter at different stages. Same with the FA cup.

If some of the ‘smaller’ prem teams took it more seriously then they’d have a chance of winning something as the ‘evil’ big six often put out very weakened teams in the early rounds. Same as the FA cup

hardly the same entering at different rounds but why gift them home draws as well

its almost as if the sponsors want the 'big' teams to win as usual, whilst leaving the smaller clubs with less chance of a money making home draw against one of the big lads

still stinks

What do you expect? Better and bigger teams than everyone else aren’t they…. So the rules are there to benefit them!
