Chromebook Recommendation

Good Morning,

I am wanting to purchase a Chromebook for my son to use for his GCSE homework.

I use a Chromebook for work and am familiar with Google drive and he also uses Google drive and its apps for his school work so think this is the way I’m leaning rather than a laptop.

Our last laptop was just awful - so slow from day one and I’m wanting to avoid the same mistake.

I currently use a Lenovo for work and it’s great for what I need it for so thinking I’d get another of the same brand unless anyone has a different recommendation?

Also - do chromebooks need anti virus software? I found this is what slowed my laptop down the most.

Not a recommendation, just a thought. Has he checked whether there a specific course related softwares he will need? Not all programs are available on all tech types! My son had to go mac because of music software. Just a thought
