How do you get to the airport? (multiple options allowed)

If early flight stay over night before.
Next flight is evening so we will. Drive there that morning.
Also depends on airport.

We've always got the train from Middlesbrough to Manchester the night before & stayed over (expect the year we got married. Got a minibus to take 7 of us straight there) however last year due to the threat of rail strikes & high prices we tried national express.
What a difference! It was actually quicker than the train, got comfier seats, didn't have to keep an eye on our luggage & was about a third of the price of the train!

We've done all. But nowadays always the night before and stay in a hotel for a long haul flight.
For Bristol hopping to Europe, we'd drive if a good parking deal, or train/megabus and taxi if not.

As we live in Devon, it takes a while to get to the London airports, so we always drive up and stay in a hotel the night before. A few years ago, we tried the coach, but it was awful, never again. We like being at the airport the day before, we have a meal and a few drinks and get in to holiday mode a day sooner

Last year was the first time we stayed At the Premier Inn at Gatwick the night before.
This next trip we are staying with our daughter's the night before then she is driving us to Gatwick on the day. Journey time is about 50 minutes from her house in Farnham.
