IF - was not at all what we were expecting (we thought it would be lots of saccharine sentimentality, but it actually managed the emotional moments very well). We both enjoyed it.

Had tickets to a secret screening last night, the film turned out to be Cuckoo and my god it’s so so weird. Would I recommend? Probably not to be honest.

It Ends With Us
I read the book and it was an excellent adaptation. I knew that the film was about domestic abuse, but there should have probably been a warning at the beginning of the film and not at the end for people who were not aware. The acting was excellent and tackled a sensitive subject very well. The actress who played young Lily was a fantastic match even down to how she spoke. There has been some controversy around the film and Coleen Hoover, but we thought it was excellent and didn't let it distract us. |

Guardians of the galaxy (1) ... still on our Marvel playthrough in release order.
Have seen it before, but enjoyed it. More for the nostalgia value, it was the first marvel film we took the kids to at the cinema. |

Clearing out some old dvds so today I've been bing watching!
Hot fuzz - fun & daft police comedy. Not a patch on shaun of the dead. Ghost rider - worth a watch. Not amazing but a no brainer movie. Strangely I had never watched it but I really enjoyed the psp video game! Godzilla (1998) - another no brainer action movie. Won't be keeping any of them! Now to get the next pile of dvds!

Yeah not bad, enjoyed it . But the cinema, at the Springs in Leeds had poor ac and vinyl reclining seats so felt like Florida |

More dvd backlog tonight.
The invasion (Nicole kidman & Daniel Craig) - an OK-ish movie. Basically body snatchers but with a modern twist. It just seemed to jump to the solution & the end was too quick. Kick-ass - how have I not watched this yet?! It gave me early deadpool vibes. Really enjoyed it & it's music selection at key moments. Lookjgg forward to seeing the squeal.
