Pre-Travel Day
It has finally arrived and from hereonin I shall attempt to be as live as i can be ☺️
We checked into the Premier Inn Runger Lane North around 3:45pm and had a reservation for 5pm, when they opened. Am quite glad we did as there were a steady stream of folk, several with young children making me wonder if I will see them at the boarding gate tomorrow! 😂
We had pre-booked the meal deal (2 courses, drink, unlimited breakfast for £28.99) so just the kids meal and any upgrades to pay for .
Unsurprisingly, I was the only one that went for 3 courses (you will notice a theme as the trip goes on...🤣 ) although my starter was huge 😳

Main was the 8oz sirloin and I added the peppercorn sauce (although it seemed VERY peppery to me? Yes, I know, like when people say their ice cream is too cold 🙈 ) and dessert was dark chocolate and raspberry torte. The 'starter' was described as this -

Nice enough but just Mammoth sized! Overall a decent meal especially for the price (it was a £2 supplement for the steak).
Am curious to see how the breakfast fares!

That’s great value! Was your appetiser cheesy fries? Yum! 😆 I always find the restaurants busy, it’s a good job you booked in advance. I hope you slept well. Enjoy your breakfast. 💗 x

Safe journey. I love all your plans I still never managed to tick that much off my list it must mean I need to go back! We did love our time at the lounge in Space 220 the slider were fabulous we got them to share but I could have happily ordered them again. Looking forward to following along. Hope you have a fantastic holiday.

They were really tasty! I like the dark chocolate when it's paired with something lighter 👌

Travel Day!
Day 0 has arrived! I don't feel I can call it day 1 as I need to wake up in Disney for that 😉
Usual Premier Inn breakfast buffet fare, can't complain when the meal deal also means the kids eat it for free!
I failed spectacularly at remembering to capture my plate, so took some pics of the buffet stations instead -

I picked up some eggs (scrambled and fried), a piece of bacon, mushrooms and then a blueberry muffin and some oj. Normally I would have consumed more, but those 3 courses last night destroyed me!
After checking out and parking up at T2 Meet & Greet, we used Dast Track security on our way to departure gate. Ironically, Sebby was the only one they thoroughly checked - including swabbing clothes and shoes! So funny seeing him stand there with his little arms up, bless him 🙈 😆
We boarded on time, but probably took off about 20 minutes after scheduled 11am.
Drinks served whilst boarding and PE menus were on seat for us

And yes, Seb did accidentally almost pick up my prosecco instead of his water..that would have been a fun start to the holiday! 🙈
I had pre-booked the mac&cheese and kids meals for Daisy & Sebby. Luckily as Daisy is 12, she is right on the cut off, as her taste buds are often not on the adult side still..

The only thing I disliked on mine was the olive in the salad 😆 Daisy left her cheeses and wasn't fussed on the giant jammie dodger (yes, I know, but she really IS my daughter)
We had the offer of the ice lolly after a little while (Pip organic these days, no more Fab 😭 ) then with less than 90 minutes until landing, it was afternoon tea time.
Mark chose savoury, but I had sweet

This was not half bad, although I would have matched the sandwiches from the sweet tea with the other extras from the savoury - namely the quiche and muffin!
If any dibbers did happen to be on that VS75 today with us, I apologise if you heard my son having his terrible twos tantrums 🙈
We landed at 2:45pm, so quite ahead of schedule which am happy with. Our driver had already messaged us the night before confirming our car seat for Seb and so I let him know about the earlier time.
This was a good job as we only had half a dozen families before us at passport control and when we walked through to baggage claim, ours were all there already - amazing 👌
It was a 35 minute journey to AKL and after checking in (I like to still use front desk so I can make sure we have partial savannah view and we also requested bed rails for Seb), we got bags brought up to room, unpacked, changed Seb then went to The Mara to pick up refillable mugs and see if anyone was hungry.

We sorted drinks and Mark went for a Miller Lite as well, then I got a whatsapp from Kingdom Strollers to say Sebby's stroller was being delivered. I hot footed it to lobby then back to The Mara with the Baby Jogger in tow 😂
We all shared a chicken tenders and fries and a three cheese flatbread, I may also have grabbed a banana bread loaf..

Forgive the partially consumed plate - we were almost on empty at this point!
And that brings us up to date - tomorrow, it begins for real with our ADR at Crystal Palace for breakfast
😍 thanks for reading!
