We did Discovery Cove today. Our uber took forever despite saying we'd be dropped off at 7.30am, we got there about 7.50am. Not much queue, we had breakfast, no queue, and got a bed by the reef by 8.40am, so had to wait another 20 mins for water to open.
I probably didn't make the most of the food being so stuffed from so much food on holiday. Had a lovely day. I was happy that the big rays seemed to be avoiding certain areas so i could snorkel with the smaller rays and fish...Last time the large rays were in the shallows a lot. The only thing was they'd shut off the bit where the otters were and you couldn't go round the marmoset island. |

We’re getting worse at getting up and out early 😂
Got to Typhoon Lagoon at 10:15am this morning, most rides were a walk on for the first hour or so. We did Miss Adventure Falls twice and Crush and Gusher without queuing. Short wait for the tube slides. The lazy river felt very busy and when we got out the queues seemed longer so I guess lots of people arrive around lunchtime. We left about 1:30pm after spending some time in the wave pool, I’d forgotten how intense it is! Now chilling out for a bit before heading to MK for extra hours tonight. Wait times look very long atm so think we’ll head over in time for the fireworks and hopefully it’ll start to quieten down a bit after that. Extra hours don’t start until 11pm so it’s going to be a very late night. We’ve got a VQ for Tron booked and hoping to get a few other rides done if we can. If it’s too busy we’ve just leave after we’ve riden Tron. Anyone else going tonight? |

We also have come to extra hours at Magic Kingdom.
We had check out of Yacht Club today, and moved to the villa. I was strolling around the boardwalk at 6.30am, so I’m shattered! We arrived for the fireworks and that’s the busiest I’ve ever seen it. we did carrousel of progress and eating at cosmic rays, hoping it quietens a little!

After Hours event at HS tonight. We queued for standby with regular ticket guests for Fantasmic (which has changed since our last visit, really cool additions). As we exited, the ride queues (RnR, M&M Railway, ToT, Rise) which were all 60 - 75 mins before the show were literally all walk-ons.
Hit all the biggies, got cool after dark and uncluttered photos of GE and the Falcon, and got a kettlebell's weight of Diet Cokes bagged up for the room 🤣 Good night in all, and a massive contrast crowd wise to the utterly oversold MNSSHP & MVMCP we've done in previous years. |

If anyone else is on the LGW-TPA flight today, it looks to be delayed by an hour (so far!).
Fingers crossed, I know there’s lots of us travelling today. I hope everything runs as smoothly as possible. |

Fingers crossed for us all today. Makes me feel a little better knowing there are fellow dibbers at the airport today.
We have had a really great night at the Hilton (despite my anxiety re the flight). We are a family of 5 and the family room is huge and bathroom lovely with separate shower and bath. Decided not to eat here as thought it would be super expensive so went over to spoons in the terminal (kids love there pizza for some reason). Well my oh my that is the most expensive spoons in the UK I'm sure. I thought it would be a similar price to the Leicester square one we were at a few months ago i.e. increased prices to normal but not silly however no we should have stayed and ate in the hotel! My 15 year old then did a bit of duel train/plane spotting- he had the best time and I think he would actually be happy if we stayed here for two weeks! The rest of us chilled in the room and I took a deep hot bath to try to calm my nerves! |
