Best film I have seen this year. Scarlett Johansson, Channing Tatum, Anna Garcia, Ray Romano and Woody Harrelson are all excellent and the film's setting just enhances my love of Florida.
Without putting out any spoilers, it has a very interesting take on a well known Conspiracy Theory

Really want to see that - glad you enjoyed it.

Having a late night as we’re watching Made in Dagenham. We’ve seen it several times before, but it’s a brilliant film based on a poignant true story with an excellent cast.

Edited at 01:29 AM.

The Batman (2022), just out on Amazon Prime.

Great movie, similar-ish to the Chris Nolan Batman movies although darker and not quite as good but still enjoyable. It is a long film though - nearly 3 hours.

Sequel inbound, but not until late 2026.

I suspect they're waiting to see how the other DC films / series about potential Batman villains pan out.

I liked the fact that it wasn't part of the DCEU. It's its own thing.

Robert Pattison seemed a little young to play Bruce Wayne - though I think that was the idea.

I would like to see a little more colour and light in the next one though

My daughter had a role in the musical at University in March 2020 and it got cancelled a week before due to Covid.

They did a fantastic job though of recording their songs at home and someone edited them together, but it wasn't the same.

Its a very good film.

I’ve never seen the musical version, I’m sure I’d love it though. Such a shame your daughter didn’t get the chance to perform it on the big stage, it must have been a great production to be part of

Not in the DCEU, but I was thinking of imdb/title/tt15435876/ , imdb/title/tt11315808/ , and The Riddler as potential villain fodder, although technically this version of Penguin is from the Christopher Nolan films.

The Joker in particular seems likely as there was a deleted scene in The Batman where Batman goes to Arkham to question The Joker about The Riddler. The Court of Owls would also fit with the focus on organised crime.

The upcoming Gotham PD series looks to have been cancelled, but there is an Arkham Asylum series planned.

I agree it was too dark, especially the late scenes. I know it's atmospheric, but you still need to see what is going on.

I'm also looking forward to the new DCEU Batman Movie...

I've always had a bit of an affinity for Batman, a superhero without any superpowers other than money.

The version of the Penguin in the Penguin TV series you linked to is from the latest Matt Reeves Batman movie, not the Chris Nolan films.

Neither of those are part of the DCEU.

The Joker also appears in the very end of the movie which wasn't cut. Although he's not actually called "the Joker". It certainly looked like Matt Reeves was thinking of having his version of the Joker in a forthcoming sequel.

I don't have superpowers nor billions of dollars in money (nor lots of tech or a cave under a mansion to keep them in), so I can't say I have much affinity for him.

Got my universes switched around...

Lots of villain options, although I've seen suggestions that they are saving Joker for the third film.
