Also I find virgin far more expensive than BA. Not seen any good prices yet on virgin.
That was a good price. We would be happy with economy delight but not even seen standard economy under 1k. Had a price tracker running with kyak also.

Is anyone planning to book next week when the Disney offer goes live? It would be exciting to start seeing people booking things…..!

I think I’m getting caught up in the excitement, I want to book even though what we really want is two dvc rentals.

I was going to make a booking for 1 person to lock something in with the lowest deposit incase I can’t get the rentals I want.

However that’s my heart talking, my head says I should just be patient and wait for the dvc and if I can’t get my first choice I will be able to get something and it’ll be much cheaper than booking with Disney.

So watch this space 😂

So, how's everyone's plans going?

I think I've made a decision. Probably all stars music, 1st Aug (shifting the holiday forward!). Prices for hotels for August 24 are now available on Hotels.com, and the prices are lower than I expected for cabana bay.

Amex card has arrived, so I'm now collecting points to put towards the BA flights/Hotel for universal part.

Even the tickets for universal are cheaper now than what I saw last time I checked. So feeling more positive that we can stay in budget.

Looking forward to Thursday now to get the first part booked.

We think we may go for a split stay... 10nights in a villa after 5nights at disney. MAYBE!
It's difficult as the kids are step siblings and too old to share a room (17yr old girl, 15yr old boy) so we need to wait to see what's available Thurs. Just want to get booked! It helps that they're offering more for us August people!

We have also booked! 10 nights Yacht Club from 18 August. Still need to tweak it as currently only me on the booking and am hoping to change to a cheaper room type.
But am booked and showing on MDE too!

🥳

I never find the heat a problem, there’s plenty of places that are air conditioned to cool down. A small fan is helpful when queuing.

We did August in 2022 and (although my teenage daughter fainted one day) we were mostly ok. There were a few queues in the direct sun which we found difficult but other than a bit of sunburn from our beach day (and the faint) we survived.
It was the thunderstorms which hit our plans much more than the heat!
