Lots of us on pre travel day today!

I’ve been awake since 3am the last two mornings with anxiety/excitement.

I’ve done the irrational clean of the house today, everything is packed and ready to go in the car.

We’re going to the local fish and chip shop for an early dinner for my dad’s birthday before heading up to Gatwick tonight.

2 days until we travel to heathrow ... 3 days before we fly! Currently on the 3.15 VA flight but have been stalking reward seats to move to the earlier flight ... to day 9 seats available... there are 10 of us :-( Had a lovely girl on chat, she said to check back in tomorrow as its permanently changing... fingers crossed! Not been keen on that late flight from the start but it was the only one available when we booked last year and has been since!

Any one else on the BA 2039 tomorrow? It's showing as having a 2 hour plus delay at present. We had a fab trip to LGw on the train and all checked into the Hilton then just checked the app and now I'm panicking re a cancellation 🙈

Just booked into Clayton Hotel at Dublin Airport, drive down was fine then sat nav took us a few miles in the wrong direction from the hotel! Going to chill before getting a drink and some food, hopefully everyone has a smooth travel day tomorrow, hoping ours all on time x

Had the notification too - hoping that by some miracle it makes up some time 🙄

Just waiting for our train ... at least that's not delayed 😅

The plane is coming from Kingston and they were nearly 3 hours late taking off. Really hope they can pull it forward a little but will be content for it just to actually fly considering ba's track record!

I have very limited flying experience. But we had similar for our flight. It was delayed and the times changed from being 4 hours late down to being on time over the space of 24 hours and went up and down! It was on time on the morning of, and all the way up to the gate and then it ended up being 45 mins late.

So don't stress!

It was the first day of the holiday so we went to Magic Kingdom today.

It was very busy,so maybe it will slow down the further into August we go,but certainly no signs as if yet from what I can see (we even had lightening lane)

This is the first time we have been in August...and my word...the heat hits different this time of year.Everyone walking around the park looked exhausted and soggy haha 🤣

But it was awesome to be back.Safe travels for those in the coming weeks
