My original aim was to see if I could bring it in at under £5.5k (before spending). I won't quite manage that I don't think, but think I've got pretty good value for everything so far:

Reward flights - £1200 (not yet paid to reserve seats outbound, so that will bump it up a bit, inbound seats are included as I have 2 separate bookings)
Townhouse - £1850
Car - £580 (super pleased with this one as it's a Premium Elite SUV from Alamo for the 13 nights we're there)

So that brings me to £3,630 with Disney tickets to go... Everything is also refundable so I can do some amending if I happen to come across any bargains!
That all looks pretty amazing to me! Car is a steal and how many bedrooms is the townhouse?

I was convinced the car is priced wrongly, so half expecting an email cancelling it 😂

Townhouse is 3 bedrooms. Plenty big enough for the 4 of us. We usually stay in villas as love the space and the private pool, so the townhouse seems like a great cheaper option while still having our own pool to cool off in.

Just had an email from BA, they have a flash sale apparently.
Hope this helps someone!

No, the sale isn't helping at all.

My prices have gone up today. Previous drops haven't dropped by much. I'm getting to the point now where if they dropped to 3600 I'll buy them. But that's still so much. I really wanted less than 3k. Or 3600 if it included premium return.

Is it worth dummy bookings with Virgin? At least it will give you an indication as to the demand for the flights you want and perhaps a pointer for future price falls if there’s seemingly limited demand.

Hadn't been looking.

Out for tea down the Pub ( killer 🤣 ) and " should we go again ?"

Back home, quick look for reward flights for 4.

Aug 11th Man to Orlando / Aug 28th Melbourne to Atlanta to Man.

Quick call to brilliant Virgin Customer Service and all booked 😄

52.5k miles and £230 each. Perfect.

Going back to brilliant Margaritaville for 3 nights, will do 12 in a 2 bed Villa at home OKW and then a couple of nights at Vero...

Happy days 😄

How do you mean? I've looked at virgins flights too. They are more than BA at the moment.

So go through the process of booking a flight with virgin, up to the point of choosing seats at which point you will be able to see how many have been sold.

I’ve ended up shifting my dates back a week as the last week of August BA flights were a killer and showing no signs of reducing.

Kids might miss a day of school….but it was worth it for the £1500 saving!

I amended Disney dates for free, have booked airport hotel and parking, beach hotel in Clearwater and car hire. All free cancellation so will check periodically (every day!) for price drops.
