Obviously, it’s just hearsay and I have no idea how accurate it is, but that week does seem particularly affected.
Really? Oh I'm really stuck as to what to do! I'm flexible with dates, normally I'd go into September but my son isn't keen on missing the first few days and school haven't advised their inset days (I've asked).

😭 I'm wondering if ba sale would be any good

I just found my invoice from our 2019 holiday, bought 06/10/18, 2 adults 2 children 18th Aug to 8th Sept £461 each! 🤣

It could be completely untrue, I read it on a forum so no idea how much truth there is likely to be in it. We moved to fly back on 2/9, landing on 3/9, and the flights were about £1400 cheaper, which seemed like a no-brainer. I'm taking a gamble on at least one or two inset days, meaning the kids will only miss one, or at worst two, days.

Just to add, friends of ours moved their dates a week earlier and made a decent saving that way. The last week seems to be the increasing factor.

Even trying 7th to 21st doesn't seem to bring it down either. Disney have flights which aren't too awful priced which are 1hr15mins connection in Montreal which is crazy! I can't face booking them as I know we'd miss the connection!
Feeling slightly beaten!

Hello all, does anyone know if I changed our return flight with virgin to a couple of days earlier:

1. Is there now a fee to do this?
2. What will happen to the seats I’ve paid out to pre-book?

Sadly yes, it’s £30 per person to make an amendment. Not sure on the pre-paid seats as I’m waiting myself for a refund on these (put in the request today) due to changing my flight booking. I would assume it’s reasonable to transfer them but can’t be sure….

Thanks for letting me know. Urgh that’s a bit of a hard pill to swallow!

So, to add to the things I can tick off, I bought my 14 day Disney and Universal tickets last night. £539 for Disney, booked direct from Disney, and £305 for the unlimited Universal passes with Orlando attractions.

Flights
Villa
Premier inn
Airport lounge
1 night at RPR
UK Airport transfers and now
Park tickets all booked.

Maybe not how others would plan, but having booked as much as I can, it definitely helps me. 😀

** Edited to add the 1 night at RPR @£391. **

The more I get done, the more space I have in my head as I'm not having to think about it lol.

I'll do our Estas at the weekend. It will be a long boring process as there are 11 of us to do
