I've just paid the balance of our Disney tickets and we can start booking ADRs this coming week (staying offsite, so can only do 1 day at a time), so it feels like it's time to get my 'planning' hat back on now!

I can't quite believe it's only 9 weeks until we go now, I can't wait!

Joining in, we travel 15th-29th August, two adults, two tween/teen, staying Port Orleans Riverside this time, for our 2nd once in a lifetime trip!

ADR day tomorrow, fingers crossed for our choices - looks like reservations are a bit easier now than previous, except the elusive Space220 lounge.

Can't wait, we've had a really difficult year, lost my mum last September and other challenges, but so excited to go in August, we're all counting the days down 🥰

What are folks doing about park reservations nowadays? Did them for the last hol, because it was required, and we had Genie+ pre-paid.
Looking at the app, getting confused about whether you need a reservation to order genie+ for specific parks on specific days... Doesn't seem an option to buy in advance.

Yup, but the spiell for purchasing Genie+ still mentions reservations and purchases on the day for the park you have a ticket for and a reservation... Things have changed since '22, can't seem to find an option to buy Genie+ ahead of time (in '22, it was tagged onto our tickets at a reduced daily rate for buying in advance).

I miss 60 day FP+ ! 🤣 Life was simpler then...

Edit to add... Can't purchase in advance, only on the day. Oh well, I've now thing to factor into daily spends I guess...

I woke up this morning (with 8 weeks to go) to find an email from the villa owner of one of the villas I have booked.
He was informing me that he had sold his villa and the new people aren't renting it out 😳 He returned my money and wished me luck in finding another one!

8 weeks to go, and peak season, and want it on the same community due to the other villa being there.

After a LOT of stress, and a very lucky break whereby another owner has just had a cancellation for August, I've managed to secure another one. It of course has ended up costing more money though.

If I knew the other one was selling, I would never have booked it.

Back to the countdown now 😖

That’s terrible. That’s one of the reasons I prefer to go through an agent such as Debbie’s Villas as I’d put the onus on them to find me a villa of the same standard/price I’d paid originally.

Oh gosh what a thing to wake up to! What luck to find another on the same community though especially if the rest of your group is there.

Had my adr day today. Up at 4.45am to get bbb for my youngest and the rhino encounter for day 60 +6. So pleased I managed to get it for all 9 of us. 😊
Oh the down side come 11am. I didn't manage to get space220 lounge 😭. Boathouse had no normal times for 60+7. (Think that has something to do with boathouse not releasing all times till 60 days only, or at least it looks that way when looking at open table availability against disneys).
Had to split some meals as 9 people at some meals and had to do it as table of 4 and 5. So hopefully they can be near to each other 🤞
All in all it went OK ish. 👍
