My 4 are all grown up (10 grandchildren), youngest is 39. We spend £50 each on a present or money. Plus we buy each a nice tin of biscuits and a large tub of chocolates and a bowl of hyacinths for DDs and DDIL my mum always bought me and my sister hyacinths at Christmas and since she’s died I’ve carried on the tradition (just been and bought them today coincidentally)
DD1 wants an electric omelette maker and a Traitors board game. DS and DDIL want money towards decorating. DD2 and DSIL want a hot chocolate maker and a mystery of the titanic Southampton game. DD3 and her partner will want cash. DGC have presents to the value of £25 and sweets and chocolate santas.

I've got one son and his girlfriend a voucher for a glamping night away. Also got them other bits, such as books, calendars, little stocking fillers.
My eldest son I will probably just get him a voucher as he's really not into much. |

DDs 30th next weekend, so she’s getting money towards a new MacBook for another uni course she’s away to start, then Xmas she’s hinting for a pair of earrings Monica Vinader or there’s a Glasgow jewellery designer she also likes, her partner probably a Patagonia top. DS got married last month, think he’s possibly getting some war hammer or something golf related (can’t believe he still likes his war hammer!), his wife a fossil purse, youngest DS I’ve no idea but no money as he will just squander it! Maybe something toward his ski trip in January?
My DD got DH a lovely drinks thing. It’s like 3 stackable bottles that slot together and filled with flavoured drink. Alcohol. There’s a flavoured gin, rum and whisky based drink. I think she got them at a farmers market and filled them at loch leven larder. |
