Boxing Day buffet

Hi All

I'm having a gathering of family on Boxing Day this year again and I always do buffet type food, has anyone got any suggestions of what they do as I seem to do the same things every year and would like some new ideas this year

A chilli, a curry, chicken stroganoff, rice, salad, homemade hot sausage rolls, crusty bread, nachos and dips, big cheese and charcuterie board. I like a hot buffet in Winter

I would do hot slow cookers are great for curry/ chilli and make a lasagna, some wedges, garlic bread & rice.
I like doing single desserts too as you can remove from fridge some at a time..

I do a baked ham, left over turkey roast potatoes and salad stuff, crusty bread and it
Always goes down great with everyone, can’t keep up with slicing up ham

We always use our slow cookers like this, we don't even make the food in them just use them to keep food hot.
I am nagging my daughter for a lovely big bubble and squeak too, I've offered to cook it but she's being stubborn.

I do the same. I’ve three slow cookers now that I use for keeping food hot at buffets.

I only have one but we have 5 in the family, advantage of grown up kids with their own kitchens. X

If I'm doing a buffet spread, we will usually have cold meats (including a Serrano ham), crispy prawns, home made sausage rolls, crusty bread, cheese, a HUGE vat of bubble & squeak, coleslaw etc.

I've also done beef bourguignon on boxing day in the past too.

Depending on numbers, we like a fondue too... thick cheesy ones, and creamy chocolate ones 😜😜

Thank you for all the replies, I normally do a cold buffet as that is what most people say is their preference so they can graze. Will maybe look to do something hot.
