Entertaining on 23rd Dec - menu ideas

We’ve got friends coming over on 23rd, ostensibly for fizz and nibbles. I categorically do not undercater and so nibbles will almost certainly escalate to a full buffet. I’m wondering whether it’s easier to just cook a sit down supper….Im going to have a ton of Christmas prep though so it needs to be easy.

Tempted to do something along the lines of:

- slow cooked lamb shoulder in Moroccan type spices (can stick this in the slow cook)
- veggie tagine (will make ahead and freeze)
- jeweled cous cous
- flat breads (bought not home made)

There will be 8 adults. Also a variable number of teenagers (will depend on their moods on the day 😂 ) We’ll order pizza in for the teens.

What do you think?

I’d do a chilli or a stoganoff with rice, easy made and easy to dish up along with some garlic bread
