Not sure what company but apparently a TV/Movie studio lot is being built right near where this Universal park is going too but not sure how true that is. Netflix was meant to be building a movie studio lot here in Kent but hasn't come to fruition yet

160 miles away, a lot nearer than Orlando, but if I have to use the M1 & M6 than probably the same travel time.
I do hope they have a Lord of the Rings land, that would be great. |

Honestly I would be surprised if it comes to fruition. Just google the London Resort. We were told that there was going to be a Paramount Studios park for years before the plug was finally pulled. Still, sometimes miracles can happen!

The difference is, it wasn't Paramount that was going to build the park. It was some third party company who had this idea and was doing deals with other entertainment companies to get them to invest in their idea and use their IP.
In this case, it's Comcast (who owns Universal) themselves who now owns the land and who is considering building a theme park there. Not some thirdparty. I mean, there might be problems along the way and things may not pan out and the plug could get pulled on this as well. But I think it has a much greater chance of happening given the circumstances.
