We have a profiterole stack, homemade trifle, daughter is making a kinder buena cheesecake and chocolate fudge cake .I use to get the brandy snap baskets and put ice cream and a wafer as it’s a light dessert, but haven’t been able to find them this year . We usually end up using the dessert as part of the evening buffet as we are all too full from the lunch. Add a few savouries of party food and snacks with the cheeseboard .

Reading about all your wonderful deserts has left me feeling rather inferior with my Lidl Xmas pud 🙈 which only the four adults will eat. I did ask the kids what they wanted but they couldn't answer and said they would rather just eat the tub of quality streets!

Got a Tesco finest Christmas pud, a chocolate orange chocolate bombe thing from Tesco, and DILs mum is making a trifle. I will probably only have room for a bit of Christmas pud!
DIL says dinner is at 4 ( I always make it much earlier when I’m making it ) and it will probably just spread out into cheese and biscuits, olives etc etc for best part of the evening until it’s time to go home to curl up like a snake and digest it all! Edited at 03:27 PM. |

I've got a sticky toffee trifle, reindeer mousse cakes (thought the little ones would like these) and mini melt in the middle chocolate puddings. All from M&S.

To be fair, the reindeer cakes are a lot bigger than I thought! Trifle looks amazing!
