A quiet one for us, I shall do my nails and wash my hair and pack my clothes as we are away for two nights, then put all the bags of presents etc into the hall ready to go in the car Monday morning. I have found a clipboard which I shall use to ensure maximum supervision.
Dinner - not our normal Sunday Roast. Traditionally we always had a Chinese take away but coeliac put paid to that. I may compromise and get some Charlie Bighams or whatever it's called. Depends on the hell which is Tesco tomorrow. |

Almost everything done before Christmas Eve so……coffee and biscuits in bed before getting up. Deboning a piece of belly pork before slow cooking (will roast on Xmas day to finish) for our alternative Christmas dinner (just belly pork, roast potatoes onions with peas).
Rib of beef with dauphinoise potatoes and mixed veg for lunch followed by one of the desserts bought in for Christmas. Then a walk round the corner to the nature reserve with the dogs. The rest of the day will be spent chilling with the tv or a good book, picky bits for tea. The kids are mostly working this Christmas so it’s going to be a quieter very chilled one this year.

Shop the Boots sale in the morning then off out for the Graveyard visits on Christmas Eve morning, home to watch a film, hot chocolate and wrap any remaining gifts. This year Santa has to pay a visit here to collect some toys for my nephews house that evening. Then I might bake a few bits.
I'll also have a nosey around in some other sales online that may start on Christmas Eve for gifts throughout the year. Then its a relaxing bath, put our new Christmas clothes on, then off to Christmas Eve mass at 9pm. Home around 10.30pm, another hot chocolate then time for bed. My sister hosts for Christmas dinner so no cooking done here. Edited at 03:21 PM. |

Family breakfast with a present from the Elf (although my children are way to old for yhis they love the tradition and insist on playing along).
Family and friends for buffet lunch at 1pm, after which I will put myself in the sofa and eat chocolate and watch christmas movies all night. About 9.30pm when DS12 gone to bed we will tell DS20 to go upstairs and we will put presents under the tree.

I do all my meal prep on Christmas Eve, while listening to carols and drinking snowballs. So veg and stuffings prepped, table set for the next day, turkey in the oven during the evening.
DD is coming to ours after work and will stay for a few nights, so DH, DD and I will have pizza, a cheese board, drinks and nibbles during the evening while we watch something Christmassy on tv.

Jacob & I are going to the cinema to watch The Grinch on Saturday and will then have lunch somewhere.
Christmas Eve will be spent icing the Christmas cake, prepping the potato gratin and cauliflower cheese, making mince pies followed by our tradition of a takeaway and It's a Wonderful Life. |

Ah it’s one of my favourite days of the year!
I’ll stick the radio on and have a few hours in the kitchen prepping trifle and a few other bits. Chorizo and chestnut soup for lunch then a nice walk followed by board games or a film in the afternoon. Glass of champagne, carols from kings and pulled pork rolls for supper. |

Last two christmases I have had Christmas dinner prep to do, but not this year!
I intend on doing usual delivering cards to DH family and visit friends. Then back home, a nice hot bath and a bit of a pamper late afternoon and then getting Chinese for tea, we have a friend up for this then just chill out. This year Dd first one with not mentioning Santa. Her presents are all sorted so just need to place them in her room when she asleep. X

Sounds perfect!
I bought the ‘ Noorah ‘ book ( after Essex Sue posted about it on here) about an Arctic Fox who lights the way for Santa with her tail, which lights up like the Northern Lights, as an alternative to The Night Before Christmas. The excitement is now reaching fever pitch ( and that’s just me!) Me and DH will have a quiet Christmas Eve, maybe a nice walk and a pub meal, while everything you describe will pretty much be going on at our DS and DILs house. Christmas morning we will be sitting waiting patiently for the ‘video’ reveal and then we will tootle over their house for a day of craziness! |
