They don’t have a clue about their own rules and seem to change as and when needed…

As for Everton (according to all reports) we are being punished heavily for building a new stadium. A stadium which benefits the city, the EPL and more importantly helps us bring in more revenue.

No excuses for Forest and Everton though - they knew the rules and Forest have sort of accepted it today.
City are not being dealt with, nor will they ever be dealt with.

Everyone knows the score.

Same with Chelsea.

Is there any evidence that any of the big 6 (apart from City) have done anything to penalise them ?

Only Chelsea I believe….

I am just pulling out the key saying to when these 6 signed up to the European Super League… a decision made by their owners.

The fans should not be punished for so called decisions / mis-management / accounting of their owners.

Everton are not a very well run club. This is nothing against the fans though. If they didn’t get a cash injection would they have been able to pay the wages. It is all very good saying we are spending too much because we are building a stadium but if they can not afford to pay for it then they are in the wrong. It’s like buying a 10 bedroom mansion while earning minimum wage you can not afford the mortgage payment and it will be repossessed. It has been a long time since Everton have been successful on the pitch. They face the punishment because income is massive below expenditure.

Haven't Chelsea basically admitted it?

Aren't the new rules to curb their 8 Yr contracts loop holes. I'm sure I read a stat that the money Chelsea have spent at Brighton would have built their stadium and training ground more than once? And the rumours are they are going for more

Forest is hardly a surprise with the amount of players they signed. Good thing Nuno likes a small squad 😂

Our owners were blasted in summer for not signing anyone saying ffp was the issue. I think now most realise they were doing right...

And that’s exactly why I don’t get the points deduction - as you say, it’s the management of the club that is wrong. The points deduction hits the fans more than anyone else - it’s literally devastating to the fans and I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy 😢

The on pitch accountant said they were fine but the video assist accountants wanted them to look at the onfield spreadsheet.

All premier league clubs are businesses. They have a set of rules that they must follow, Everton and forest have been caught out by them. Liverpool could have built a new stadium but decided anfield development was better and will have a 61000 seater stadium when full opened, Everton have built a new stadium from scratch and will have a capacity less than 53000. If you have a ticket price at £40 this is £320000 less every home game plus other things like food and other things the clubs can squeeze out of the fans. The ground is in the wrong place as well, come a winters storm and the wind and rain whipping in of the Irish Sea will be horrendous. Even ex managers of Everton think the club has massive problems, but they don’t know how to get out of them.
