Even ex managers of Everton think the club has massive problems, but they don’t know how to get out of them.
Maybe we should have evicted all the neighboring streets in an attempt to redevelop Goodison... Maybe we should have sold the land to a developer and not develop it ourselves to benefit the local community.

Interesting to see that you think the ground is not a good idea... doesn't come as a surprise to me at all really.

Quite laughable seeing all our loveable neighbors coming out of the woodwork again.

Now for that ignore button.
No I think it is in the wrong place, it should have been moved further out, near Kirkby next to or in between the m57 and m58, train links using old roan. It should have been grander why not 65 000 Everton are a big club and would have filled it.

Surely as central as possible is the best option , as i understand Bramley Dock is @20 mins from the city centre/mainline train station/bars/restaurants etc

great for the fans and the away fans, moving out to some soulless bowl next to a motorway would have killed the matchday routine for home & away fans..

looks great from the pics ive seen maybe getting in/out will be an issue as everyone has to initially go east bit assume this has been built into the design of access paths etc etc

Most of the traffic will be coming down dunnings bridge road, one of the busiest duel carriage way in Europe. The road is always a nightmare. The vast majority of fans will go to the match watch it and go home that’s it, they won’t be going into the city centre. I’m more bothered about the weather, on a nice day it will be lovely, on a windy day it will be horrendous. It may be 20 minutes from the centre but not a walk I would want to do either.

More like a good half hour walk along pretty grim streets. I would hope there would be some transport available out of the city centre on match days, although there is a train station relatively nearby. Don't envy anyone working there today 🥶

Can you imagine what the traffic is going to be like on a match day and a massive container ship has unloaded and the trucks are leaving the port.

tbh havnt been to merseyside for an away game since the very early 2000's has local football culture changed that much over that time, fans just goto the game & go home ? We always travelled into the city for a few beers etc then made our way our to Goodison/Anfield & did the same in reverse after the game

In Newcastle match days are a massive revenue maker for the whole city, the pubs & eateries make a killing every game long into the evening... assumed this was the thinking behind Everton moving closer to the city

No some will, but it would end up very expensive if you did that every match. The reason for it moving to where it is has something to do with a certain leader of the city council who is not in office anymore. I will be generous and leave that there.

sounds a bit bleak , surely access has been built into the planning & maybe why the capacity is relatively low if the roads around the area are already maxed out
