I had to drive past it a couple of months ago due to the main road closed due to a police investigation and no the road is dreadful going down to cobbles in places and not very nice.

The city centre still gets flooded with fans on match days. So I do think its a money maker for the pubs/restaurants. I certainly would avoid going into town on home games. The pubs are even full of home supporters watching the match so if I wanted to watch the game in a pub I'd stay nearer home.

Not bleak at all, and no grimmer than if you were walking towards either Anfield or Goodison from the City Center.

Then there is the whole regeneration of that part of the City (just north of the city centre) ie Liverpool Waters which has now begun with the new stadium. The stretch from the Stadium to the city center will be further developed in the coming years.

So again, not grim. Some people just will like to paint it that way!

Has it changed, not so sure. Not aware of many who just go the game and go home, but then again depends which ground we are talking about if we are looking at home supporters.

Some have much further to go than others, and unless staying overnight in a hotel then you can understand them heading straight off.

I expect as and when the area continues its development up till the 1st game of the 25/26 season then it will encourage more to utilise transport links into the City Center and then to the ground. Better option all round.

Therefore, then increasing traffic also through the city center and the bars / restaurants.

Whilst I agree with this, how can the PL punish clubs without punishing fans?

Walking to either ground currently is pretty grim from the city centre. We usually park in the middle and walk. We also go to the same pub. Which I note had bouncers on a mid week Liverpool game but not for Everton. Can't be the away fans as it would be same for each match.

They put the football buses on now from. City centre to anfield. Never been to the city centre pre Everton as can stay closer to ground with ease) so I imagine they will still do that.

Spurs ground looks unbelievable... I got the 'skywalk' experience for Christmas a few years back but just never got round to taking it up.

Expect BMD will be similar in state of the art new stadium, which is a far stretch from what we have now and much needed.

As much as we will all miss Goodison, we know this is needed for the future of the club.

Providing of course we do not continue to get penalised which could possibly end up in relegation and even administration.

I am sure some fans (as can be seen on this thread) would be happy for this to happen, but I expect most fans / clubs would not.

You will be more than welcome at BMD when it is ready!

As for me, my preferred is public transport to the ground, however, tomorrow night I will be driving as also taking my 6yr old.. So park near the ground and will be heading straight off with it being a school night!

I go to the game and go home. But do have a beer before hand mainly as we get there early in case of any traffic hiccups and to be able to park. Away days are expensive enough without lots of beer added on.

Being on the dock can't be any worse than the Southampton ground being right next to the sea (other than the south coast aspect) but there in winter is pretty cold.

Spurs ground is worth a visit.

Surely that depends on who the away fans are.
