In my head as I've been reading I've always had Dora Bryan down as Joyce (yes I know she's long dead - perhaps they should cast a Zombie version), although Penelope Wilton could work too. Eileen Atkins has always been my Elizabeth.

I always though Dennis Waterman would have made a good Ron but sadly he passed away! I always thought of Ray Winstone as Ron's son!
I thought Judie Dench would be a good Joyce?

Cant really see Brosnan as Ron - weird choice. As others have said Ray Winstone would be a good fit.
At least Pierce wont have to sing in this...

I'm really fond of the book series - happy to see it on the scene. I always imagined Ron as short and overweight! No idea why (he might not of been described as such). What about Chris, Donna and Bogdan? Any thoughts?
