It was certainly solid when I hit a pot hole. The noise was dreadful and the car stalled, I thought this is it but she just started and on we went. Our other car is also a Ford, a Cmax Grand because we wanted a seven seater and we liked the sliding doors. She's called Bella and is not as solid as Maudie!

I'm pretty sure Martin Lewis said something along the lines of treat car payments as a subscription rather than chasing ownership. Exception being if you're close to retirement and planning on keeping it. Otherwise the maths don't add up if you like a new car every few years. They depreciate so much.

Depends on personal preference and longevity of needing that particular car, I guess.
