Advice Please - Someone wants to buy my photos

So someone has messaged me on instagram stating she would like to buy some of my pictures.

If anyone has sold photos off instagram I would love some advice.

My first instinct was 'scam' - I've looked at her account and it doesn't strike me as the sort of person who would want to buy the sort of photos I take.

If it's not a scam, or just thinking of the future, if someone did want to purchase a picture:

- Would they want the original RAW file or the processed
jpeg.
- What's the going rate for photos from a complete amateur
like me, I'd guess around £2.50

Depends on what they want to use it for imo
Personal, editorial or commercial rates vary greatly.

Pricing is very personal - have you looked at what others charge for similar types of images?

I know nothing about this at all. My first thought is scam, but if not, there must be folk who do this for a living so is there any kind if agency that could act as a middle man and get you what your photos are worth while dealing with copyright etc?
