The only thing worse than Englands performance in the whole tournament is the play acting and the grabbing of heads of players many of which are not even touched.
This is disgraceful and needs to be addressed, I don’t know how but the stopping the game for head injury needs to be dropped as players can’t be trusted. |

Yup Spain were the masters
I think any player that goes to ground and play has to be stopped for a head injury should have to have a concussion check. Edited at 10:18 PM. |

Not for me unless the ref stops the game as the collision happens.
If player gets a knock on his shoulder, back, thigh etc and rolls around holding his head usually because the other team has broken away they get a concussion check and their team has 10 men for this period |

Football tried to stop the feigning of injuries by bringing in the rule that if the trainer comes on you go off for 30 seconds ( I think it is) but now the players just stay down until the ball is kicked out then get up... players who are genuinely injured are penalised whilst the cheats aren't.
There was a classic video a few seasons back of a player going down trying to get a penalty and staying down..his team carry on playing and score..he miraculously gets up and runs across to his team mates to celebrate Edit..it was Immobile for Italy Edited at 01:50 PM. |
