Photographing the New Forest

So we head down to Dorset in August and I’m planning a day on my own to do some photography in the New Forest.

Any suggestions for where abouts to head etc greatly appreciated

Depends what you want to photograph really but some good lesser known places would be Burley, in particular Mill Lawn and Mill Lawn Brook, some lovely landscape there. You can't really go wrong driving through Burley/Lyndhurst/Brockenhurst to be honest!

Just go anywhere into the woods where ever you are as early as possible in the morning, find a nice quiet place where the sun streams thru the trees and wait in the quiet for the deer to come walking past you, stay still, they will look at you & make eye contact, do nothing quickly but if your lucky (I have been many times especially on horse back or with the dog) they will stand while to take a few photo's then wonder off.
There are little off shoot roads when you can drive in and park off road (not an actual carpark just a little space for a car) Its so beautiful I sometimes wish I still lived down there.

A little fun fact…Alice Liddell is buried at St Michael's & All Angels Church in Lyndhurst…it’s around the back of the church…she was the Alice who Lewis Carroll based Alice in Wonderland on. 💕💕
