What's happening at the old Church Street Station?

When we first went to Florida Church Street Station in Orlando was touted as the night time entertainment venue. I then read somewhere that it got a bit seedy and fell out of favour and I am sure I heard more recently that the whole area is being redeveloped. Does anyone know what the most up to date position is?

Out here at the moment and heard on the country music radio sation K92FM that the Cheyenne bar at Chruch Street Station was reopening and was all new. We went there back in 1991 and loved it so may see if we can get over there while we are here.

I also heard it on K92FM that the Saloon was opened again i checked out the link, they have some Great Country stars on there

I remember going there once as an 11 year old on my very first trip.

If I recall they had a great arcade for the kids to keep entertained, and we went to jungle jims (?) for dinner...

Was a shame when it closed because I always wanted to return one day

Downtown has been going through a big redevelopment and Church Street has been part of it. They re-opened Cheyenne Saloon on Valentine's Day and it was a HUGE deal. They asked the original developer to be a part of the restoration and redesign and he accepted so it was sort of like a family reunion of sorts. He (Bob Snow) is very respected in Orlando so the project was a big success.

They've had a lot of big country singers go through in the past month and hope to continue it. They didn't re-open all of Church Street but just the Saloon. If you want to take a look for more information check out their website.
