We went to Venice today. We found about 10/12 shark teeth.

Top tip is to buy a net or sieve if going here.

We were lucky, a kind American family let us share theirs to hunt for fossilised teeth! :-)

Regular visitors to both.

If you are based in Orlando, then Cocoa is a much shorter journey. Hit the traffic at the wrong time on the I4 going past Tampa can really be a real pain. The bigger waves on the Atlantic coast are much more fun. The gulf coast tends to be more sedate.

The actual beaches at Clearwater are nicer. Whenever we stay there, we stay at Sand Key about half mile from the main beach, just over the bridge from the main town. It is regularly in the top ten beaches in the USA. Beautifully clean and part of a nature reserve. Plus we think the Clearwater area in general is beautiful

My vote - for a day trip, Cocoa because of the journey but if staying - Clearwater. Any chance of booking an overnight stay to enjoy the evening as well?
