Thorpe Park, is it worth it for a 6 year old
We have merlin passes and so far have been to legoland and chessington, have looked at Thorpe Park but it seems to be aimed at older kids, my 6 year old won't go on coasters so I'm not sure if it's worth the vist.
Is there enough there to keep her entertained? |

Don't think there is that much for smaller children at Thorpe park, there is always the paddling area if the weather is nice.

Not really worth it if they won’t/cant do coasters as that’s the majority of the rides and there's really not much for younger kids certainly no typical kiddie type rides.
All the kids ride lean into the more thrill type so depends on what type of ride they will go on. If you rule out flying fish as it’s a coaster and pretty fast all It leaves you with the mr monkey banana - swing boat and the high striker which is a mini drop/bounce type ride Tea cups, dodgems, quantum - flying carpet up & over forward/backwards, depth charge - rubber dingy down a bumpy slide and the rapids if they’d ride them In the summer the pool/beach area is open too depending on the weather. Storm surge & tidal wave they might be tall enough for but both are pretty fast and very wet If you have Merlin passes and it’s not too far to travel then worth a try if you like coasters and are able to take turns while another person stays with the little one/ does a ride with them but you won’t get much done if you go weekends/holidays as it’s gets really busy. We went the other weekend and averaged an hr wait per ride. LEGOLAND and chessington are far better for younger kids especially those who are a bit more nervous and not yet ready for the faster rides. Edited at 10:56 AM. |

I would also say no too. Little bit too young for the rides, they are mostly pretty big with height restrictions. Chessington is great for younger kids though.😁
