Dining plan for child who doesn’t eat
Just wondering if anyone can help? My son is 3 so has a ticket and a free dining plan for when we go in October. However, because of medical reasons at the moment he doesn’t eat anything more than baby purée and is fed milk by a tube. What happens with his dining plan?
We are planning on doing a few character breakfasts and hoop Dee doo. Do we still need to use a credit for him at the character buffet restaurants or will they accept that he won’t eat anything? Thanks for any help! |

for character meals and hoop de hoo you will have to use a credit even if he doesn't eat anything as your paying for the "experience "
I would maybe contact them in advance and explain the situation and see what they say as it is a medical issue rather than choosing not to eat/not eating much As he gets child table service meals there isn't a lot you could do with his credits if you don't use them for ts meals other than swap for snack credits so I wouldn't be too bothered about using them even if he doesn't eat but I wouldn't want to have to tip on the cost a his meal that wasn't taken |

If he isn't going to use them at all, you could upgrade his ticket to an adults ticket so that he gets adult TS credits that you can then use for 2 credit restaurants. I think the cost to upgrade is $20

I would do this too. I agree with the OP for character /buffet I think they would make you use a credit.

Technically they should charge him at buffets and family style meals. But i’d make them aware he is tube fed (note on reservation and tell on check in and tell server) and I strongly suspect they won’t charge you particularly as he is so young. Suggestion to
Upgrade him to adult is a good one then you can use the ts credits. |

Great, thank you all for your advice. I haven’t even thought of upgrading it to an Adult plan, think I will do that. Thanks again.

At character buffets you are paying for the characters not just to food so personally I’d just use a credit at those.

Hi there
We have just returned from WDW in March. My son is fed through a gastrostomy and a TPN Line. We were on the Qsdp so I can let you know about that... we were able to use all his credits for snacks, meals, drinks etc. Of course it may be different for your plan. With regards things like BOG, and any character meals... we were told that it’s the experience you are paying for and they were not willing to make an exception even backed up by his consultants letter. |
